Katy Perry Stands By Her Man
I told you yesterday about Russell Brand being arrested after allegedly getting into an altercation with a paparazzo. Here are the pictures of Russell and Katy Perry arriving at the airport before the scuffle broke out.
And here's what Katy had to say on twitter about the incident:
If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fianc will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don'tf**kwiththeBrands.
If it's true that the paparazzo was trying to get a picture under Katy's skirt, then the paparazzo is the one who should've been arrested! Talk about crossing the line. And I've heard of paparazzi trying to do that, so it doesn't sound so improbable to me.
Hopefully this will be resolved without too much fuss.

Usher Remembers Being A 'Pizza Face' On 'When I Was 17'
Usher on "When I Was 17"

He's known as one of the smoothest R&B sensations to grace the stage, but when Usher was 17, he grappled with a far less flattering image.
"I went through this phase where I had really, really bad acne," the singer admits on the latest episode of "When I Was 17," premiering Saturday at 11 a.m. Usher, who was 17 in 1995, reveals with a grin that his nickname was "Pizza Face."
"His acne was so horrible," recalled one of Usher's more blunt friends, Keith. "His face was so jacked up."
Music mogul and producer Jermaine Dupri remembered how the entertainer's spotty complexion led him to shy away from the spotlight.
"He didn't want to go out. He wanted to stay in," Dupri says. "He was a little ashamed of what was going on with his face."
The singer went to extreme, and ultimately unsuccessful, lengths to disguise his breakouts.
"As a dude, you're not gonna put makeup on your face, right?" Usher said. "I tried that, it didn't even work."
He may have experimented with cosmetics and spent a few more nights at home but the multiplatinum star didn't let his acne hold him back from wooing the ladies. "I was 17, so I would still try to talk to girls [and] get past it," Usher reasoned.
He even had some smooth lines to drop when he wanted to draw attention away from his skin. " 'Don't look at that, look at my eyes, baby. I'm trying to say something real serious to you right here,' " Usher recalled, reenacting his complexion-deflecting dating moves. "I know I have pizza face, I don't care."
In the end, his skin cleared up and the singer said it was just a matter of riding out a rite passage that many teens are forced to endure.
"This is something that all 17-year-olds have to deal with," Usher said. "You can't run away from it."
— this week featuring B.o.B, Usher and Ne-Yo — premieres Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV

You Can Do It! (Okay, Maybe Not)
But you know, this leads me to something. You want to encourage these kids and be like, "Keep playing your music! You can do it!" But at what point do you tell them they're awful? I mean, the neighborhood is suffering because of the noise. I have my TV turned up all the way to drown them out.
It reminds me of when I played the flute in the fourth grade school band. I thought we were amazing but then we had a concert. Afterward, when I asked my step-dad how we were, he laughed and said, "You sounded like the Charlie Brown school band." I was eight or nine years old at the time, but I was old enough to be told I sucked. I remember not caring. These kids are teenagers... I think it's time someone encouraged them to find another career path because this jam-band thing isn't working out.
(Btw, I couldn't find a clip of the Peanuts gang school band to show you, but you know what I'm talking about, right? They were horrible.)

Megan Fox Says Seeing 'Transformers 3' Will Be 'Weird'
Megan Fox
Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images
Megan Fox may have left the cast of "Transformers 3," but that doesn't mean she's completely snubbing the franchise. In fact, when MTV News caught up with the actress at the Toronto Film Festival, Fox insisted that she plans to check out the latest installment of the fantasy juggernaut.
"I will see it," Fox said while promoting "Passion Play" at the Toronto International Film Festival. "I'm gonna see it."
The actress did admit that watching the battle of the 'bots continue on without her will be fairly odd. "I might be a little jealous when I see somebody kissing my Shia [LaBeouf], wearing my jeans that I ... already had been fit for," Fox conceded. "It's kind of weird, actually."
Fox also observed that her replacement, onscreen newcomer and Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, won't work the leading-lady role quite like her.
"She's 6 feet tall also, so maybe they're not the exact same jeans," Fox quipped about the ad-campaign vet slated to play LaBeouf's love interest Carly. "But it will be strange."
As much as the actress admits that a Fox-free "Transformers 3" will be a little hard for her to handle, her former co-star has pined for her presence as well. While filming the 2011 release, LaBeouf commented earlier this year that he missed Fox's contributions to the series.
"I love Megan and I miss the girl," LaBeouf said. "But Sam and [Fox's character] Mikaela became one character, and here ... you have discovery again from a new perspective."
Despite the headline-grabbing cast shake-up, many details about the upcoming "Transformers" film have remained under wraps. However, director Michael Bay has insisted that the third installment, which will be released in 3-D and will abandon the "dorky comedy" aspects, will likely signal the end of the series.
"As a trilogy, it really ends," Bay said. "It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."
Check out everything we've got on "Transformers 3."

Justin Bieber Wins Best New Artist VMA
Justin Bieber at the 2010 VMAs
Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images
This year, a slew of music newbies pumped out catchy hits and worked a signature style, be it side-swept bangs or cartoonish wigs. With so many choices, it's a good thing we left the business of picking this year's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards Best New Artist up to the fans at home. And to no one's surprise, they chose Justin Bieber.
The VMA rookie took home the Moonman for the smash clip "Baby." The video was up against some chart-topping competition, as Jason Derülo ("In My Head"), Ke$ha ("Tik Tok"), Nicki Minaj ("Massive Attack") and Broken Bells ("The Ghost Inside") were all up for hardware.
"Wow," the teen sensation gasped after making his way to the stage. Bieber said that as a young kid from Canada, he was surprised by the honor, saying, "This means a lot to me." The teen star shouted out music industry execs, showed respect to his "big bro" ("Thank you to Usher for being my mentor") and, of course, his fans: "Thank you to everybody here."
The win was another highlight of a big night for the teen superstar and his army of Beliebers. Bieber hit the stage early in the night for a throwback-themed rendition of his hits "Baby" and "Somebody to Love," which included his own amped-up drum solo.
Bieber, who presented last year, was excited to take his VMA experience to the next level and hit the stage at this year's festivities.
"I'm excited to be performing at the VMAs. It is all still unbelievable, because last year I went for the first time and no one knew who I was," Bieber said recently. "Just really shows that dreams can come true and what incredible, dedicated fans I have. I'm a lucky guy and grateful. Now I just want to get on that stage, have some fun in front of my heroes, because at the end of the day I'm still a kid and still a fan."
The Moonmen have all been handed out and the stars have gone home, but there's plenty of 2010 MTV Video Music Awards news, interviews, behind-the-scenes scoop, party reports and more still to come, so keep it locked on MTVNews.com.

How to make money using the internet?
One of the most common methods for you to earn money on the web is with ad revenue. While most of the world still does not have this knowledge, there are simple ways to make money with major search engines like google and Yahoo. Both search engines offer free programs that anyone can subscribe to. With Google it\\\'s Google adsense, and with Yahoo it\\\'s Yahoo publisher. Take advantage of these revenue services if you have any web sites, website pages or blogs. It takes only a second to place free ads on your webpages. In this way when internet users land on your page, they have the choice of clicking on the ads. If they do, you obtain a portion of ad revenue. This money goes directly into your Google or Yahoo account, based on which you opted in for. Feel free to join both. Ad placement and ad revenue is an excellent method to supplement your income or flat-out make a living from your home. A number of self-employed individuals get a great living doing this daily.
Affiliate programs are another really good way to earn money on the web. What this entails is placing ads for products in your site, blogs or webpages. Simply inquire about a particular product and find out how much you can earn by promoting it on your personal website. Some businesses offer around fifty percent of every sale. Many others will offer 10, 20 or 30 percent of each product sale. Naturally this can add up to a lot of dough. Maybe it\\\'s the perfect time you began your at-home, online capital venture. There is no doubt that you can earn money on the internet. All it takes is just a little time, effort and motivation.

What you ought to find out about your money?
First thing that you need to know is how you can lower your tax payments. Be careful here. I'm not telling about tax evasion but of some legal ways by which you can reduce how much money you have to pay as tax. You can find a lot of schemes that have been put in place by the government and should prove rather interesting for you to consider. One document which i have come across not too long ago is tax exemption ( defiscalisation immobiliere) and should prove really interesting for you to check out.
Investing on the stock market may also prove rather great for you. This will help you to not only save some money but multiply your finance too. It is recommended however that you take a moment in order to discover the most effective opportunity for you. It will all be determined by the amount of risks that you are willing to take and the amount of profit that you want to generate. One good article that i have recently run into is best financial investment (meilleur placement financier) and may prove really helpful for you to browse.
You must also pay attention to the amount of loans that you have. In case you have a lot of loans you'll be required to pay lots of interest thus leading you to lose money. As much as possible it might be essential for you to secure a debt consolidation loan in order to manage your loans better. French readers that are interested to learn more about this can take a look at this article on debt consolidation ( meilleur rachat de credit ) since it holds some interesting point.

'Love the Way You Lie' Joins List Of Memorable Joseph Kahn Videos
Rihanna on the set of the "Love the Way You Lie" music video
Photo: Danny Mayer/ Eric Ford/ On Location Photos
After much anticipation, the Joseph Kahn-directed video for Eminem and Rihanna's chart-topping "Love the Way You Lie" debuted Thursday (August 4) on MTV. In the song, Em and Rihanna tell the intense story of a woman who stays with her male counterpart despite his violent habits. The video shows Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan engaging in a relationship that's similarly emotionally destructive.
Kahn, who has worked with everyone from Janet Jackson to Rob Zombie, has a particular directing style that emphasizes CGI special effects and futuristic styling. Here are a few other highlights from his career.
Britney Spears, "Toxic"
In the 2004 clip for Spears' flashy "Toxic," the pop princess played an assassin on a quest to poison her cheating boyfriend. The clip employed eye-popping costumes for Spears — including a stewardess outfit and a glittery bodysuit — and quickly rose to the top of the pop princess' videography. "The plot is pretty nonsensical. It's just fun. [It's like] James Bond flicks and sex," Kahn told MTV News. Years later, the director would collaborate with Spears on the clip for "Womanizer" — in which he slyly referenced their earlier collaboration.
U2, "Elevation"
U2 went on a ride like no other when they joined forces with "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" for the 2001 video promoting "Elevation." A call from an "evil Bono" set the mood for the action-filled video, which features the band on a rescue mission with Angelina Jolie thanks to Kahn inserting members into scenes from the film. With the help of Ms.
Croft, U2 dodges the dangers of the bad Bono, although eventually good and evil come face to face in a battle of stereo and vocal power. But the good guys win out, and the band walks into a calm street that has cars and elephants floating overhead.
Eminem, "Without Me"
For most of Eminem's career, the rapper has played the funny guy in his music videos. His clip for the 2002 hit single "Without Me" went further than mere gags, asserting his ability to poke fun at the controversies surrounding his music. Throughout the video, Em parodies a comic-book hero on a mission to save a young boy from listening to a copy of The Eminem Show, which is labeled with a dreaded 'Parental Advisory' sticker. While on his quest, Em manages to sleep with porn stars, practice yoga and appear on "The Real World."
Enrique Iglesias, "Hero"
Understandably, Enrique Iglesias' music videos have showcased his good looks and suave persona. His 2001 clip featured Jennifer Love Hewitt as the singer's love interest and other half of a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde. The two are on the lam from Mickey Rourke, who heads a rival group of bandits. After some steamy scenes with Hewitt, the pop star is found by Rourke's gang and apparenly killed by them.
Lady Gaga, "LoveGame"
If there's one thing Lady Gaga reps for, it's the busy streets of New York City. Before the days of her music videos doubling as mini-movies, Kahn helped the singer take a journey through the Big Apple's underground in a video that recalls Michael Jackson's also-subway-set "Bad." Accompanied by her crew of dancers, the singer drops it low in a subway station and dances the night away. "I worked with [video director] Joseph Kahn, and he did an amazing job. He didn't just capture the fashion; he captured the artist," Gaga told MTV News.
What's your favorite Joseph Kahn-directed music video? Let us know in the comments!

Michael Jackson Doctors Won't Be Charged In Singer's Death
Michael Jackson
Photo: Getty Images
Seven doctors who treated the late Michael Jackson will not be charged in the singer's death. According to The Associated Press California officials said Wednesday (July 28) that they will not file charges against the doctors who were under scrutiny as part of an investigation launched by the state's Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement.
Jackson passed away in June 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest. His personal doctor Conrad Murray — who was not one of the seven doctors included in the investigation — has been charged in his death and pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter after allegedly giving the star the potent anesthetic propofol.
"I am very disappointed," said Brian Oxman, an attorney for Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson. "The misuse of medications by Michael Jackson in the last years of his life was excessive and to fail to bring that to the public eye is ignoring reality." Oxman is serving as Joe Jackson's lawyer in a wrongful death suit against Murray.
Bureau spokesperson Christine Gasparac told the AP that one of the doctors who was under investigation was referred to the California Medical Board for prescribing drugs to one of Jackson's aliases, however, a spokesperson for the board did not confirm the referral. A spokesperson for the Drug Enforcement Agency told the AP that it has also dropped its investigation into Jackson's doctors.
Murray lawyer Ed Chernoff has maintained that the doctor did not administer a fatal dose of propofol and has suggested that either Jackson gave himself the anesthetic or another person may have supplied the late star with the dose. However, an anesthesia expert has said the possibility of Jackson administering the drug himself is unlikely.
A preliminary hearing in the Jackson manslaughter case is slated for August and Murray faces a sentence of up to four years in jail.

'Skyline' Director Is Proud Of His Alien Effect
A scene from "Skyline"
Photo: Universal Pictures
The geeks packed into the San Diego Convention Center in July were prepared for "Green Lantern" and "Thor" and "Captain America." They knew to expect lots of cool footage and A-list panels, and their expectations were more than fulfilled. What almost no one had on their radars was "Skyline," an independent alien-invasion flick that swooped into Comic-Con virtually unnoticed and came away with the some of the festival's most positive buzz.
Greg Strause, who co-directed the flick with his brother and fellow founder of visual effects house Hydraulx, said that he met that skeptical-turned-astonished viewpoint again and again during the production process.
"People would be like, 'What are you doing next?' " he told MTV News. "And we'd be like, 'Shooting this little indie we're financing ourselves. We're shooting it in my house.' So you tell all these people, and they say, 'Oh, that's cute.' And when they actually see it, their jaws drop."
Among the jaws that dropped were those at Sony Pictures, which had hired Hydraulx to do effects work on "Battle: Los Angeles." Both films feature aliens invading Los Angeles, and Sony accused Hydraulx of stealing equipment and ideas for use on "Skyline," according to TheWrap.com. Those are charges Strause strenuously denies.
"It's total bullsh--," he said. "We work on a movie with aliens involved with it, if not every year, then every other year. We worked on 'Avatar,' 'The Day the Earth Stood Still,' 'Invasion.' It's all about aliens. That's what our company does. And everyone knows that."
Strause and his brother, Colin, directed the much-derided "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem," and Greg finds it particularly frustrating to be the target of such accusations at a time when one of his directorial projects is finally getting such great buzz. "Colin and I catch a lot of crap for 'AVPR,' " he said. "And ['Skyline'] is us. It's us."
What the brothers have accomplished is no doubt impressive. Inspired by Oren Peli's "Paranormal Activity," they set out to make a low-budget version of an alien invasion movie that never once felt low-budget. Aided by the capabilities of their effects company and top-of-the-line digital cameras, they holed up in a house in Marina del Ray, California, and filmed the bulk of their story, which focuses on how a group of friends react to the arrival of nefarious aliens. The finished film contains 800 visual effects and employed just one day of green-screen work.
"We have a character drama that plays out in this claustrophobic space," Strause explained. "Whenever we do leave the space, we have huge shots. The teaser [trailer] is the big, epic, visual side of it. When you see the next trailer, you'll get a sense of the claustrophobic, character side."

Eminem Turns Up The Volume In Detroit
Eminem performs in Detroit on Thursday
Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage
DETROIT — By the time Eminem got to "Cinderella Man," near the bottom of his set list on Friday night, the air was filled with so much audible adoration for Slim Shady, Sam Kinison himself could have rose from the grave and screamed in your ear and you wouldn't hear it. The crowd at Comerica Park was so loud, many people had to text message the person sitting right next to them.
Once again, Eminem was treated like a pharaoh. He was the closer on a two-night stand of concerts headlined by him and Jay-Z.

50 Cent Explains Photo With Jay-Z Backstage In Detroit
50 Cent and Jay-Z in Detroit Friday

DETROIT — You didn't think they were going to have two of the biggest hip-hop shows in the past decade without inviting 50 Cent to join in, did you? Fif and the Unit have been Eminem's special guests for the Home and Home shows, co-headlined by Jay-Z.
The Detroit run started Thursday night at Detroit's Comerica Park and concluded Friday (September 3). Sitting down with MTV News before the second show, 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo expressed their excitement to be a part of the historic event.
On Thursday, the Unit performed "Patiently Waiting," "I Get Money" and "In Da Club." And by the following morning, footage and photos from the show circulated on various websites. But thelifefiles.com caught a very unexpected gem: One of Jay's close friends, Lenny Santiago, snapped a picture of the Jiggaman and Fif talking backstage. The energy in the pic seemed to be positive, and both were smiling.
It was surprising to all hip-hop fans, considering the fact that since last year, Fif has been throwing jabs at Hov in interviews and on songs such as "Flight 187." While Fif declined to say exactly what he and Jay conversed about on Thursday, he did say they didn't have serious beef.
"We got a chance to kick it for a minute," 50 said. "I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z. I take people's actions as if it's genuinely how they feel. I can only use what I saw you do as if that's what you meant. I can't understand what your motivation was prior to that."
Fif has also had some well-documented issues with Diddy. Ever since Diddy aligned himself with Rick Ross several months ago, the General of the G-Unit has publicly lambasted the leader of Dirty Money. But 50 says a recent talk with Diddy helped clear the air between them.
"I had a conversation with Puffy the night before Jay," the Queens mogul revealed. "He gave me a whole new perspective on his actions. He's like, 'I understand the way you felt because of what I was doing at the time. But I wasn't thinking what you was thinking I was. You done hit me nine times. I'm just in the fetal because I understand why you are attacking me. But if I can't touch bases with you to tell you what I'm thinking or why I did it, then you can't understand it.' We created a little clarity out there."
The Home and Home tour continues in the Bronx, New York, on September 13 and 14 at Yankee Stadium.

'Going The Distance' Co-Stars Think Romance And Bromance Can Coexist
Jason Sudeikis
Photo: MTV News
As a rule, romantic comedies generally follow a pretty standard formula: Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl's relationship is put to the test by brief bit of drama (overprotective potential in-laws, nosy friends, etc.), boy and girl live happily ever after. It's typical and predictable, but also why we love rom-coms!
The latest entrant into the beloved genre is this week's "Going the Distance," starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long as a new couple who try to make their relationship work while living on opposite coasts. The film also features the comedic stylings of Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") and Jason Sudeikis ("Saturday Night Live"), who play a pair of buddies doing their best to keep their close friendship alive, while Long's character tries to distance himself from his pals and make more time for his new romance.
When MTV News caught up with the two funnymen at the film's press day, we asked them to compare and contrast the complicated aspects of real-life guy friendship, a.k.a. bromance, and romance — and whether the two can exist at the same time.
"Well, there's a lot less sex in the bromance," Day offered. "We're bromancing each other, but we're not bromancing each other in bed, so that's different."
Sudeikis admitted that sometimes you need to put the bromance on the back burner. "At some point, you have to let your friend go and your romance will trump the bromance," he said. "You have to let the little bird fly out of the nest."
"A romance and a bromance can happen at the same time — they're not mutually exclusive," Day added. "They can, they absolutely can. Sometimes people think that when the romance starts, the bromance ends, but that's not true."
This comment prompted Sudeikis to theorize that it's a bad sign if the guy friends in question have a problem with their friend's new love interest. "If the bromance really has a negative reaction to the romance, it's probably not a healthy romance," he said.
"There's no reason a good romance can't be perfectly bromantical," Day added.
"Yeah," Sudeikis agreed. "Not all squares are rectangles."
"And not all rectangles are shapes," Day said.

Lady Gaga Poses As Her Male Alter Ego

Lady Gaga has had some eye-catching magazine covers — she's appeared wearing everything from lingerie to pretty much nothing at all. And for her latest, she's bound to have lots of people talking once again. Gaga posed as her male alter ego, Jo Calderone, for her gender-bending covers for Vogue Hommes Japan, out September 5. On one cover, Gaga, as Calderone, wears her hair like Elvis Presley and rocks a white shirt and black trousers. Another version simply shows a close-up of Calderone's face, seen mostly in shadow.
The covers were posted to Gaga's stylist Nicola Formichetti's website, along with interview bites that Gaga conducted as Calderone, who is purportedly from Sicily. He says in the September issue, "[My occupation is] mechanic for my dad's business. This is the first time I've had my picture taken. Well, I always helped my dad at work, since I was a kid. I thought it would be fun to have my picture taken."
The interview also teases Calderone's dream to own his own mechanic shop. "I'd love to own my own car shop. I have a bunch of my own 'muscle' cars," he reveals. "Maybe if I take some more pictures, I can afford it."
The photos first hit the Internet months ago and the speculation was in fact that it was Gaga on the cover. The shoot was styled by Formichetti and shot by Nick Knight, who apparently introduced Calderone to Gaga. "I met her at a shoot Nick Knight was doing," he recalls. "She's f---in' beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, 'Don't be baby, you were born this way.' I took her out after. The rest is private."

'Glee' Creator On Britney Spears Cameo: 'It Was Like The President Had Come'
Heather Morris and Britney Spears on the set of "Glee"

Britney Spears may be a pop princess, but "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy felt as if the president had stopped by the set during Spears' recent visit to William McKinley High. Murphy dished about what went down when the singer filmed her cameo for the "Britney/Brittany" episode.
"It was literally like the President had come," Murphy told E! Online. "We all had to wear wristbands. I couldn't get into my own sets at one point, which I thought was hilarious."
Murphy thought Spears was moved by the cast's admiration for her. "I think she was really impressed about how so many kids of the show do what they do because they grew up wanting to be Britney Spears," he said. "She was really sweet with them. We had a number with a bunch of 8-year-old dancers in the show and she spent a lot of time talking to them, and they did the number for her ... She was so sweet, she's great with kids, she was so awesome."
But security remained tight, Murphy said, because "everybody was sort of trying to get into the set and find out what the hell she's doing in the episode." What Spears will be doing on the show is still unknown, but a picture the singer tweeted from the set suggests that she may be playing some sort of receptionist.
Aside from hanging with the pop princess on set, the "Glee" creator also got to hear some of Spears' new material. "I got to hear some of the music she's putting out later this fall or early next year," Murphy said. "It's really a great return to form for her; the songs are amazing so I feel she's riding the crest."
And while there has been talk of Madonna tunes blaring the speaker intercoms once again, Murphy has also revealed that Britney "probably" will reprise her cameo spot on "Glee" episodes.
Last week, the singer tweeted photos of herself on set alongside Murphy and castmember Heather Morris. Posing in front of a set that looked similar to the singer's "Me Against the Music" video backdrop, Spears channeled the Madonna look that was donned in their 2003 collaboration.

Beyonce Says She's 'A Feminist, In A Way'
Beyoncé

Whether it's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" or the Destiny's Child classic "Independent Women," most of Beyoncé's catalog consists of strong female-empowerment anthems. So it's no surprise that the singer considers herself to be a feminist.
In an interview with the U.K.'s You magazine, the pop star opens up about the importance of female companionship, not needing to hide behind Sasha Fierce and her much-talked-about baby plans.
"I think I am a feminist, in a way. It's not something I consciously decided I was going to be; perhaps it's because I grew up in a singing group with other women, and that was so helpful to me," she told the magazine. "It kept me out of so much trouble and out of bad relationships. My friendships with my girls are just so much a part of me that there are things I am never going to do that would upset that bond. I never want to betray that friendship, because I love being a woman and I love being a friend to other women."
Most recently, Beyoncé has certainly made her share of female friends in the industry. In the past year, the singer has collaborated with Lady Gaga ("Video Phone" and "Telephone") and Alicia Keys ("Put It in a Love Song").
While the singer might always have female besties, there's one thing she's cut out of the picture: alter ego Sasha Fierce. Earlier this year, the pop star revealed that she "killed" Sasha, and now she said the alter-ego absence is due to her newfound self-awareness.
"I don't need Sasha so much anymore, because these days, I know who I am. It takes time to figure out who you are, and I am still discovering different things about myself. As I am exposed to different experiences, I think, 'Oh, I like this. I didn't know I liked this,' " she explained. "That's the journey of life that is so exciting. More and more, I know who I am, I know what I like, I know what I want, and that makes me feel so free."
In fact, B already has her eye on some personal life goals. "My ambition is to continue to learn about the world and to eventually have a family," she said. And while Beyoncé remained coy about when she and husband Jay-Z will expand the Carter family, she hinted that there's really "no dates, no times" to motherhood. "It will happen when I am ready."
